I've had the privilege of helping organize CPOSC for several years now, and our 16th edition just wrapped — over 220 people from Lancaster, PA and beyond. This event keeps growing.
Huge thanks to our sponsors, volunteers, organizers, and every person who showed up. This community is the reason it works.
What I loved about this year was the diversity of thought.
People all-in on AI. People skeptical of it. People leaning in cautiously. People genuinely worried about what it means for their careers. People actively job searching sitting next to people who've already retired. People building with the latest tools alongside people questioning whether those tools belong in production.
Nobody knows where this is all headed. There's real uncertainty — and real opportunity. I think most people are holding both at the same time.
That's what makes a community like this so valuable. There isn't one belief system. There isn't one right answer. Just a room full of people comparing notes and trying to figure out what makes sense for them.
Let's keep the conversation going. Come to our Tech Coffee, a TechLancaster meetup, or your local meetups. Or just drop me a note — always happy to chat.
